Short course provides overview of MIL-STD-810G

A course titled 'Understanding, Planning and Performing Climatic and Dynamic Tests to MIL-STD-810G' will interpret the new military standard 810G.

The course will be held at National Technical Systems (NTS), Plano, Texas from 12-15 April 2010.

It will also take place at Cincinnati Sub-Zero Products, 12011 Mosteller Road, Cincinnati Ohio, from 17-20 May 2010.

The four-day class will provide an understanding of the purpose of each test, the equipment required to perform each test, and the methodology to correctly apply the specified test environments.

It will also cover vibration and shock methods, including sine and random vibration, as well as classical waveform shock testing, drop testing and shock response spectrum testing.

Instrumentation, vibration equipment, control systems and fixture design will be covered.

Each climatic test will be discussed individually, focusing on requirements, origination, equipment required, test methodology and understanding of results.
