Houlgate brings transmission network experience

Ray Houlgate has joined ERA Technology as a Senior Consultant in Power Transmission Networks.

Ray Houlgate has joined ERA Technology as a Senior Consultant in Power Transmission Networks.

Houlgate worked for the UK's National Grid organisation for many years in a variety of senior roles.

His special areas of expertise include managing transmission networks in a regulated environment and extensive experience of overhead line transmission networks.

Houlgate is currently Chairman of the IEC SC36M committee on insulators for overhead lines.

He stated: "I am delighted to be joining ERA - a company which has worked in electrical engineering even further back than the establishment of the National Grid itself.

I particularly look forward to using my experience to assist a variety of organisations both in the UK and worldwide".
