Metal detectors make process line monitoring easy

An Eriez Magnetics Europe product story

Mesutronic metal detectors and separators employ the latest electronics technology for detection and removal of ferrous and non-ferrous contamination, including stainless steel

Eriez Magnetics Europe offers a broad choice of metal detectors to suit every application.

Whether wet or dry, in-line or end-of-line, Eriez offers tailored solutions to meet a customer's particular requirements within a broad range of industries, from food, plastics, wood, minerals to textiles and recycling.

Mesutronic metal detectors and separators form part of this extensive range.

These employ the latest electronics technology for detection and removal of ferrous and non-ferrous contamination, including stainless steel.

They present a very effective and easy method of monitoring the process line.

But what is really special about these Eriez metal detectors is that they are so easy to service and maintain because they use the minimum number of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs).

Competitor models will use a far greater number of PCBs which make it far more difficult to diagnose any technical problems which may arise during installation or operation of the equipment.

Eriez Mesutronic Metal Detectors can be supplied with conveyors and associated reject systems.

There is also a choice of search coil types and aperture sizes as well as outer case finish, including stainless steel for wet processes.

The 20C conveyor model for example has the capacity to store up to 50 product signatures complete with following features: menu, password protection and auto product compensation and tracking.

The best news, however, on this particular range is that prices have now been substantially reduced to compete favourably in a very price-sensitive market.

Moreover, unlike many of its competitors, Eriez offers the customer a dual solution to the problem of metal contamination in providing a package combining magnetic separation and metal detection technology, thus effectively eliminating all types of metal contamination, whether ferrous or non-ferrous, fine iron or tramp metal.
