Eriez Magnetics' SR Model Eddy Current Separator (ECS) is a high intensity, modular permanent magnetic separator which is widely used in the plastics recycling industry for the removal of fine ferrous and non-ferrous contamination.
This model has been specifically designed for multi-stage metal separation, where the separation objectives are very demanding as in the removal of fine pieces of aluminium and stainless steel from other non-metallic materials, such as plastic and rubber granules.
A specific example of where the Eriez' SR ECS can be found is in the uPVC window frame making process, where self-tapping screws are part of the profile and need to be removed in the recycling operation.
Special advantages of the Eriez SR ECS include compactness, robust system design, easy operation and enhanced separation performance resulting from the generation of multiple, high intensity "eddy current" fields.
Eriez has a proven track-record in the manufacture and supply of Eddy Current Separation systems and in providing solutions to many recycling applications.
The emphasis is not on supplying a piece of machinery to perform a set task but in assessing the application and in providing a package to solve a particular process problem.
