Magnets to separate, detect and sample
Hillhead 2003 will see a full display of magnetic equipment from Eriez, ranging from separators to detectors.
On Pavilion Stand P128 at Hillhead 2003 Eriez Magnetics will be exhibiting a self-cleaning version of its highly successful Model CP permanent overband magnet, a small scale version of a Prisecter primary sampler as well as unveiling some new metal detector developments Eriez overband magnets, whether permanent or electromagnetic, are widely used in the industry for removing unwanted tramp metal and for protecting machinery
As a world leader in this field of technology, Eriez provides the most comprehensive choice of suspended magnetic separators, in terms of design, size and configuration to ensure that, whatever the application, an efficient and cost effective solution is found.
Information will be also available on the stand describing other Eriez magnetic separators, low and high intensity for both dry and wet mineral processing (including the unique HI magnetic filter), as well as on the Eriez concentric non-ferrous eddy current separator used in resource recovery applications.
One of the metal detectors on display will be the Metalarm TR-10 search coil and this will be shown installed mid-way between two idler sets.
This search coil is unique in that it can ignore small pieces of metal without the need for an overbelt search coil which may otherwise be damaged by over-burden situations.
It offers a uniform level of sensitivity and performance.
Other search coils, which, if set to ignore small pieces, will miss larger pieces of metal on top of the burden, as sensitivity reduces the further away the metal is from the search coil face.
The TR-10 prevents unnecessary stoppage of the feed conveyor and therefore results in increased daily throughput and higher profits.
The TR-10 is designed specifically for the aggregate and coal industries to protect secondary or tertiary crushers from large tramp metal.
Moreover, its rugged design makes it ideal for even the most arduous of environments and roughest of applications.
The all-new Metalarm TR-20 search coil will be shown for the first time ever at an international exhibition.
This is a modification of the TR-10 and features adjustable positioning, both in width and height.
The advantage of this universal TR-20 search coil is that it will not only suit a wider range of stringer widths but that it will be available ex-stock, thus enabling very fast customer delivery.
A further significant advance in metal detection for the aggregate industry is a new type of BR (bridge) search coil featuring a swing top coil for applications where unusually high burdens can arise.
In this event the top coil simply swings away to ensure that no damage occurs to the top coil itself.
This search coil is recommended for use where burden heights are variable and on belt widths over 1.2m wide.
This detector can be seen as part of an on-screen presentation being shown of Eriez metal detection equipment as applied to the aggregates and mining industries.
Last but by no means least, a demo-sized version of the successful Eriez Prisecter PRL sampler will be shown and demonstrated.
This sampler, typically installed within conveyor head chutes, is of a simple, robust design and is suitable for taking samples at predetermined intervals from a main stream of particulate material.
It is merely one of a whole selection of units available from the Eriez Prisecter range of automatic samplers.
Sampling is an essential part of monitoring the quality of a conveyed product.
Companies increasingly recognise the importance and use of sampling technology to verify that quality parameters and customer standards are being met.
Such companies which require sampling are those whose production facilities need process checks and whose customers dictate product quality and specifications. Request free introductory details about products from Eriez Magnetics Europe ...
