Metal detector gains flexible
configuration
The E-Z Tec 9000 high sensitivity balanced coil metal detector now has an option that allows the unit to be separated into two parts.
Earlier this year Eriez launched the E-Z Tec 9000 - a high sensitivity balanced coil metal detector for use in a variety of industries including plastics, recycling, wood, textiles and for small food manufacturing processes Sales of the E-Z Tec 9000 model have advanced apace for various applications around the globe

Metal detectors make process line monitoring easy
Mesutronic metal detectors and separators employ the latest electronics technology for detection and removal of ferrous and non-ferrous contamination, including stainless steel
For example, in Sri Lanka 21 E-Z Tec 9000 units featuring a 50mm diameter (circular) search head are being used in the textile industry to check ribbons to make sure they do not have any metal in them, such as broken needle tips.
Another E-Z Tec 9000 (standard rectangular aperture) is being trialled in India to check snack food prior to being packed.
A further model with integral slide chute and combination siren/beacon alarm has been sold to Irish injection moulding company, Key Plastics, to detect the presence of small screws, washers and various other pieces of stray metal which could have fallen into packets of plastic components prior to sealing.

The latest addition to the balanced coil technology range of E-Z Tec metal detectors is the E-Z Tec 9000 divisible head metal detector.
Its innovative design allows the unit to be separated into two parts, enabling a simple installation without the need for cutting the conveyor belt.
It has all the features of the E-Z Tec 9000 nondivisible search head which include easy operation, pushbutton selection of controls, single printed circuit board for ease of servicing, surface mount technology for improved reliability, self-monitoring capabilities, product effect compensation, integral circuitry for remote operation and monitoring of reject devices and full compliance with EU EMC regulations.
Its main applications are in the aggregate and mining, plastics and rubber, recycling, glass, chemicals, food, textile and wood industries.
All types of E-Z Tec 9000 metal detectors supplied by Eriez Magnetics Europe (standard rectangular, circular or rectangular divisible head) are available with a choice of two electronics: the CB24 which offers a wide range of features including password protected settings, 10 product setting memory, easy to operate push button controls, LCD and a full range of timers as standard; and the CB25 which is a simplified version of the CB 24 with only two controls: sensitivity and delay time, thus meeting the requirement for a very simple to set up metal detector at a very low price.
