Ethernet PowerLink will be the latest contribution to their Anybus family.
"We have some 350 device manufactures world-wide that standardised on our Anybus concept for industrial communication".
"All these vendors can now also get an easy access to the Ethernet PowerLink technology for their products" says the Executive Vice President of HMS.
"We recognise the growing success of Ethernet PowerLink among European OEMs and machine builders, and for us, as a company supporting 17 different fieldbuses and industrial Ethernet technologies it's important to also develop products for Ethernet PowerLink".
Among Ethernet PowerLink's major advantages is the fact that the protocol can be implemented on any standard Ethernet hardware and chip.
Ethernet PowerLink is the only real-time industrial ethernet solution with microsecond speed and precision which does not need support through proprietary hardware components or ASICs.
Nowadays, more than 60,000 EPL-enabled devices are already in use predominantly in complex applications within the automation industry.
"Having HMS joining EPSG and adding Ethernet PowerLink support to their product range is yet another sign of the industry acceptance of Ethernet PowerLink".
"The fact that HMS offers an instant way for vendors to enable their products for Ethernet PowerLink will further accelerate the number of companies and devices supporting Ethernet PowerLink" says Andreas Pfeiffer, Board Member of the EPSG.
