ESI Group has announced that Wagon Automotive Waldaschaff (Germany), a supplier of door systems and structural components, has selected the Virtual Try-Out Space (VTOS) solution.
Access to, and integration of EASi's advanced development foundation software, EASi-Vista and EASi-Process, will allow ESI Group to provide a common user environment for an extended range of CAE applications, including crashworthiness and occupant safety third party solvers.
ESI Group will integrate EASi-Crash applications into its flagship PAM-Crash 2G software chain, enhancing the process of model building, dataset preparation, evaluation of results against regulatory requirements and design comparisons.
In the occupant safety area, ESI Group's PAM-Safe product will be enriched with new features for communications with third party software.
EASi's EPIC, will become the entry-level data management system of PAM-Composer, ESI Group's simulation data manager.
This combination will provide CAE customers with an adaptive and open 3G-PLM solution that integrates the crash process workflow.
EASi will benefit from this unique software technology and associated products by enlarging its design and virtual prototyping services.
By also offering CAE re-engineering services, EASi will allow further integration and customisation of its customer's processes and workflow.
Alain de Rouvray, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ESI Group, said : "This strategic partnership will provide ESI Group customers with a new and unique combination of advanced simulation software embedding an innovative process methodology to support industry's critical transition towards simulation based design.
Users of ESI Group's competitive products for crashworthiness will be first to benefit from this new and unique open CAE and Virtual Prototyping framework".
Prakash "Krish" Krishnaswamy, President and Chief Executive Officer of EASi, said: "I believe that customers will see immediate benefits in a rich, process centric CAE technology infrastructure that spans multiple solvers with potential to integrate workflow across the enterprise.
This truly paves the way for major breakthroughs in process re-engineering, yielding paradigm benefits at different levels in the enterprise".
