ESI Group releases Pam-Crash Solver software for crash simulation for engineers on Windows Compute Cluster Server (CCS) 2003.

ESI Group has released its Pam-Crash Solver software for crash simulation for engineers on Windows Compute Cluster Server (CCS) 2003 This follows a demonstration of the capabilities of the company's 64bit open virtual try-out space (VTOS) interface on a cluster of standard hardware at the Supercomputing 2005 tradeshow in Seattle in November

The software is ported to Windows Server 2003 x64 Edition and integrates with Microsoft Message Passing Interface and Job Scheduler technologies.

Because the cluster increases the computing power, it is cost-effective for running resource-demanding CAE applications, such as Pam-Crash.

This lets engineers work with large virtual models (more than 4.5 million elements) that require more than 3 to 4Gbyte of memory.

The open VTOS is an engineering simulation environment initiated with Pam-Crash, LS-Dyna, Nastran and Radioss software on Windows CCS 2003, and encompasses Visual Environment and all ESI Group's simulation software.
