Vibro-acoustic conference scheduled

An ESI Group product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team May 14, 2007

Attendees of VAUC 2007 will have the opportunity to hear papers presented by major industry professionals and learn about the latest in vibro-acoustic software and simulation methods.

ESI Group's Vibro-Acoustic Users Conference (VAUC 2007) will be held at the Hilton Hotel in Cologne, Germany, from 12th to 13th.

The conference represents a opportunity for technical exchange among vibro-acoustic practitioners, researchers, and application experts.

During this two-day event, attendees will have the opportunity to hear papers presented by major industry professionals and learn about the latest in vibro-acoustic software and simulation methods.

Noise and vibration quality is a critical factor in the design of a wide range of products, from automobiles and aircraft to consumer appliances.

Vibro-acoustic problems are frequently left until late in the design process, when prototypes are built and tested and after significant costs have been incurred.

The VAUC 2007 is a chance to see how virtual prototyping solutions reduce the need for costly laboratory testing, speed up the product development process, and minimise the production cost of noise and vibration control materials and treatments.

Among the speakers, the VAUC 2007 will feature vibro-acoustic professionals from a wide cross-section of industries including Alcatel Alenia Space Italia., CNES (the French Space Agency), Faurecia, Volkswagen, and many others.

Not only will vibro-acoustic users gather to hear and share industrial experiences, participants will also learn about the latest VA One software developments by means of a "hands-on" training session on 13th supervised by the ESI VA Support group, where participants will receive a VA One license for use on their own computer.

VA One is the evolution of the AutoSEA2 and Rayon software, and combines state of the art FEA (Finite Element Analysis), BEM (Boundary Elements Method), and SEA (Statistical Energy Analysis) solvers in one easy to use environment for vibro-acoustic analysis and design.
