As each actuator is "torque-switched", the matching of valve stroke to actuator is automatic, thereby significantly reducing expensive commissioning time.

Essco Controls has released the 220 series of its Total Control range of self-adjusting, easy-fit lift lay actuators For use with DN15/DN40 two and three-port series VLTLC screwed BSP female and series VLFL flanged, plug and seat valves, a key feature is simple screw assembly of actuator to valve without using special tools

As each actuator is "torque-switched", the matching of valve stroke to actuator is automatic, thereby significantly reducing expensive commissioning time.

Other features include a valve position indicator and facility for manual over-ride, while to overcome any need to break into the actuator enclosure, a flying lead is provided.

Female BSP ends are supplied as standard.

They are available with soldering ends appropriate for copper pipe work and welding ends for industrial applications.

John Docwra, Technical Sales at Essco Controls, said: "The 220 series actuator powers valves designed for tight closure".

"Therefore, they offer a real solution for heating and cooling applications for today's urgent need to lower energy consumption".

"Easy to fit and use, they save time and money".
