E-T-A Introduces a DIN-rail Mounting Module for Labour Saving Installation of Multiple CBEs in Control Applications.

E-T-A Circuit Breakers has introduced a DIN-rail mounting module to facilitate the rapid installation of multiple circuit breakers for equipment (CBEs) into control circuits.

Featuring cable connection via spring-loaded terminals and automatic signal line inter-connection, the new modules offer labour savings during the assembly of circuits in control cabinets and process control applications.

The E-T-A Module 17plus clips onto standard DIN-rail and accepts two push-fit, single-pole E-T-A CBEs.

As many ways as are required can be obtained by fitting any number of the modules side-by-side.

The CBE status signal circuits are automatically engaged when modules are placed together, and side covers, also with spring-loaded terminals, can be fitted to interrogate these common signals.

The Module 17plus accepts E-T-A 2210S CBEs and E-T-A 3600 / 3900 CBEs, offering either toggle or push-button actuation.

Each CBE is just 12.5mm wide and makes the assembly suitable for continuous currents up to 25A.

When multiple Module 17plus units are mounted side-by-side, the N/O auxiliary contacts of the CBEs are connected in series to enable group signalling of faults.

The signal chain can also be tested for interruptions via integral test sockets for each CBE.

Individual CBE signalling can be achieved using their N/C auxiliary contacts.

These are all connected in parallel with each free contact side being accessible by corresponding spring-loaded terminals on the modules.

A distribution busbar can be inserted on the supply side of a row of modules, while current distribution can be achieved by bridging several sockets.

Each module is 25mm wide x 116mm long.

Side covers add a further 5mm in width each side.

Slots on the modules accept labels supplied with each unit, thus enabling clear identification of each terminal.
