Combined switch/circuit breaker for simulators

An E-T-A Circuit Breakers product story

E-T-A Circuit Breakers has introduced a new combined switch/circuit breaker which has been designed especially for aircraft simulators.

Featuring an extremely fast magnetic trip time, it has exactly the same 'feel' and look as E-T-A's operational flight-deck products, but avoids the need for large activation currents within the simulator.

The E-T-A 9510-G Simulator Switch is a combined switch and single-pole circuit breaker, with a standard push/pull activator which matches all E-T-A's aircraft-style circuit breakers in front-of-panel appearance and in the forces necessary to operate it.

Operating at a standard voltage of 28V, the tripping current needed is less than 200mA with a tripping time of less than 25ms.

The 9510-G features an aircraft-style threadneck mounting and a white trip indicator ring.

It simulates the action of the E-T-A 483, 583 and 4120 which are used extensively to populate flight decks.

Dummy current ratings, between 0.5A and 35A, are indicated by adhesive labels on the pushbutton.

Versions are available with blade, screw or wire-wrap terminals, while a logic indicator is optional.
