E-T-A Circuit Breakers has become one of a select few suppliers to patient handling equipment manufacturer Arjo Limited to be granted the status of Fast Track Supplier.
E-T-A Circuit Breakers has become one of a select few suppliers to Arjo Limited to be granted the status of Fast Track Supplier.
Arjo, a leading manufacturer of patient handling equipment, receives product directly on to the production line from E-T-A with 24-hour 'Just-In-Time' ordering.
Stephen Wintle, Supply Chain Co-ordinator, Arjo Limited, commented, "Arjo's experience with E-T-A's circuit breakers and E-T-A's own quality assurance programme has led us to have the utmost confidence in the supply of new products directly into our Fast Track Kanban control system.
This negates the need for Arjo to inspect and allows E-T-A to supply direct to the production cells, on a Just-in-Time basis with a 24 hour lead time".
Jonathan Adams, MD at E-T-A Circuit Breakers, added, "We are very pleased to qualify for the Fast Track Supplier status, as this recognises not only the quality repeatability of our products, but also the supply service we can offer our customers." Arjo patient handling products are designed to transfer patients typically between bed and chair, or from the floor to a bed, but are also used for bathing.
Their sophisticated design ensures that a nurse is well protected against back strain and injury.
It is vital that nursing staff, when manoeuvering patients, have very clear and reliable start and emergency stop buttons, together with a precise cut-out capability in the unlikely event that an electrical fault occurs.
The E-T-A 3120F thermal circuit breaker for equipment, with a simple snap-in mounting and very clear green and red buttons, was chosen for the hoists, following a long period of testing for electrical reliability and robustness to withstand knocks.
