New circuit breakers catalogue launched
A new Circuit Breakers and Control Products catalogue explains the different types of circuit breakers for equipment and how to choose between them for a given application
E-T-A Circuit Breakers, the specialist manufacturer of protection devices for electronic and electrical equipment, has published Issue F of its main catalogue.
Providing comprehensive details of all its circuit breakers, the free catalogue has been expanded to include all the latest products and detailed technical information to assist in circuit breaker selection.
Issue F of E-T-A's Circuit Breakers and Control Products catalogue now runs to 394 pages and can be requested free by telephone or email.
It is broken down into 10 clearly thumb-tabbed sections, including four different classifications of circuit breakers for equipment (CBEs), electronic circuit breakers for power supplies in industrial power distribution systems, 19" racks with distribution rails and modular circuit breakers, and an overview of electronic flow meters and flow monitors (which are covered more fully in a separate catalogue).
All sections are clearly indexed with summary overviews and contain descriptive details of every product.
Photographs and fully dimensioned drawings are included, together with technical data, CBE switching characteristics and product ordering information.
The expanded technical information section explains the different types of CBE and how to choose between them for a given application.
It also provides a detailed insight into CBE contact resistance measurement and its importance in some applications.

Compact circuit breaker saves rail space
The toggle-action E-T-A 4220 circuit breaker has been designed for one and two-phase applications for rated voltages of 240V AC and 120V AC, three-phase up to 415V AC and DC applications up to 80V. -
Overcurrent protection is optimised for automation
Electronic active current limitation responds much faster to overload or short circuit conditions than switch-mode power supplies. -
Remote control circuit breaker protects aircraft
The E-T-A 4930 circuit breaker can be placed close to the system it is protecting and wiring harnesses and hence weight can be significantly reduced. -
Flow monitor boasts solid-state reliability
The new E-T-A FS30 electronic flow monitor incorporates a robust, membrane-type sensor which will monitor flow rates from 0.25 to 3m/s. -
Two catalogues cover full product ranges
E-T-A Circuit Breakers has published new 2006-07 editions of its separate CBE and control products catalogues, which can be requested free by telephone, e-mail or from the company website.
