High-end control brought to mainstream
inverters
Eurotherm Drives has launched a new range of extremely high torque, sensorless vector inverters, with powers extending from 0.25kW to 90kW
Eurotherm Drives has launched a new range of extremely high torque, sensorless vector inverters, providing sophisticated control in demanding applications, but without compromising on ease of use The 650V series provides a high performance, high functionality solution, with powers extending from 0.25kW to 90kW - a power band which embraces 97% of all drives applications

Choice of fieldbus options for AC drives
Eurotherm Drives has extended its range of add-on expansion modules for its 690+ AC drive range to offer a wider range of fieldbus options and systems capabilities.
The 650V shares the same form factor and ease of use characteristics as the standard 650 series - which targets general purpose applications up to 7.5kW - whilst incorporating the same sensorless vector algorithm of the 690+ series, Eurotherm Drives' high end inverter range.
The ease of installation, set-up and use of the 650V series belies its power.
A host of user selectable, pre-programmed applications allows you to simply choose the relevant application, whereupon the drive's inputs, outputs and parameters are automatically configured.
The pre-programmed options include basic speed control, manual/auto control, preset speeds, raise/lower and PID control.
There are no programming languages to learn, and no confusing menus to navigate.
The flexibility of the drive is enhanced by its I/O configuration, which provides three analogue I/O, four digital I/O, a digital relay output and a motor thermistor input.
The 650V also features an operator control/interface panel which can be removed from the drive to be mounted locally if required, to provide a more convenient option for set-up or monitoring.
Further features of the 650V include integral or space saving footprint EMC filters which ensure the drives meet all relevant EMC emission and immunity standards.
Eurotherm Drives Sales and Marketing Manager Mark Hartley comments: The 650V series is one of the most important product ranges we've ever launched.
It enables us to offer our customers a totally integrated inverter family covering all applications irrespective of complexity.
The 650V fits between the 650 aimed at simpler applications and the 690 series which addresses the most sophisticated integrated systems." The 650V series inverters are available in single-phase, 230V AC and three-phase, 400V AC options in a total of seven package sizes.
All drives are CE marked to the BS EN50178 (Safety/Low Voltage Directive) and are c-UL/UL listed.
