Fatigue conference confirms keynotes

The Engineering Integrity Society's 6th International Conference on Fatigue will be held from 26th to 28th March 2007, at Queen's College, Cambridge, UK.

The Engineering Integrity Society's 6th International Conference on Fatigue: "Fatigue and durability assessment of materials, components and structures" has received confirmation of keynote speakers with abstracts received from 20 countries.

"We are delighted with the quality and range of the abstracts received so far; we are putting together an exciting programme of speakers from around the world with authors working and studying in wide ranging sectors of industry and academia".

"This promises to be our most successful and expansive fatigue conference yet", said convenor, Martin Bache.

"Fatigue 2007 will offer a first class opportunity to present and hear the latest research and practice in fatigue on a world stage".

An intensive programme of oral and poster presentations is planned to cover the three-day event (26th to 28th March 2007, Queen's College, Cambridge, UK) and plenary speakers so far scheduled are: Prof Paul Bowen, (University of Birmingham, UK), Prof Jean-Louis Chaboche (Onera, France) and Prof Gregorz Glinka (University of Waterloo, Canada).

Abstracts for presentations have been received from the aerospace, marine, land based transport, manufacturing and materials processing sectors, together with academia and commercial testing practitioners.

The conference is sponsored by Instron, Safe Technology , TWI and nCode International and cosponsored by Institute of Physics, IMechE and Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining.
