HMG-828 industrial managed Gigabit ethernet switches support a flexible SFP form factor to keep the network secured and reliable

Ethernet Direct has integrated WDM Technology into its industrial managed Gigabit Ethernet switches.

The HMG-828 direct industrial Gigabit Ethernet switch supports WDM technology with bidirectional optic data communication.

A single fibre transports both downstream and upstream signals.

This improves the effectiveness of fibre bandwidth used and also reduces cabling costs.

Increased use of bandwidth has created significant demands for Gigabit Ethernet technology.

HMG-828 industrial managed Gigabit ethernet switches support a flexible SFP form factor to keep the network secured, reliable and a good choice for scalable backbone construction.

The SFP ports are configurable with 100Mbit/s and 1000Mbit/s (i.e., 1Gbit/s) transceivers providing users with the flexibility to support a range of fibre and deployments including Gigabit Ethernet over 10km of single strand single-mode fibre and Gigabit Ethernet over 2km of dual-strand FDDI-grade multimode fibre.

Long-reach SFP optics supporting fibre lengths to 120km are also available.

Ethernet Direct HMG-828 offers excellent management features that help to keep your network running hassle-free and can automatically detect the Gigabit cable connections priority for each Gigabit port.

Redundancy and secured performance can be guaranteed by management features like VLAN, QoS, IGMP snooping, rate control, port mirroring, MAC IP security, LACP port trunk, port trunking, CoS, e-mail warnings, SNMP trap and SMTP.
