An European Safety Systems product story

New from European Safety Systems are the MB005 and MB010 5 and 10J xenon strobe beacons.

New from European Safety Systems are the MB005 and MB010 5 and 10J xenon strobe beacons.

The strobes give a high intensity flash every second; they can be used as stand-alone warning devices, or ideally used to reinforce an audible signal from a suitable sounder.

Six different lens colours are available.

Beacons on the same wiring loop are synchronised to flash together to provide the clearest possible warning; alternatively, two beacons can be made to "flip-flop", flashing alternately.

Sealed to either IP66 or IP67 to give total protection against the entry of dust and protection against immersion in one metre of water for 30min, the beacons are ideal for use in marine or other harsh environments where they will be exposed to extreme ambient conditions.

The xenon tube is mechanically secured to the body to prevent shock and vibration damage.

For corrosion resistance, the body of the beacon is manufactured from high impact UL94-5VA flame retardant ABS, the lens is toughened glass and the ratcheted stainless steel mounting bracket allows side, bottom or pendant installation.

The sounders operate from 12, 24 or 48V DC for use in fire, security and telecomms systems; mains-powered devices operate from either 115 or 230V AC.

The units are highly efficient, minimising current consumption at all operating voltages.
