Southern Manufacturing 2004, conveniently colocated with its sister show Southern Electronics 2004 will shortly be opening its doors to thousands of visitors.

Southern Manufacturing 2004, conveniently colocated with its sister show Southern Electronics 2004 will shortly be opening its doors to thousands of visitors eager to see the latest products and services offered by leading international, national and regional industrial suppliers.

Now in its seventh year, the south's premier engineering and manufacturing event is set to be another sellout show and is expected to beat all previous attendance records.

Taking place on 18th-19th February at Thorpe Park in Surrey, it will showcase well over 400 specialist suppliers to manufacturing, aerospace and defence, autosport/automotive, electronics, packaging, pharmaceutical and marine industries.

The South East England Development Agency (SEEDA) is again supporting the exhibition together with the Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) and UK Trade and Investment - South East.

SEEDA will be promoting its recently launched GBP 5 million lean manufacturing initiative to help improve working methods and ensure long-term success for businesses in the region.

As well as a comprehensive programme of free, hourly, technical seminars to help delegates maximise performance and productivity, experienced engineers will be available to offer expert advice about business best practice, from specifying components to increasing efficiency.

Themed technology trails will help visitors navigate their way around the halls - participating stands are branded with logos to indicate an exhibitor's area of expertise.

This year there will be a new trail devoted to the pharmaceutical-biotechnology sector as well as the traditional autosport/automotive, electronic components and contract manufacture, packaging/labelling, aerospace and defence, and marine and offshore industries.

For visitors, there is plenty to see do and learn.

Entry to the show is free and everyone can get their personalised entry badge, parking pass and show preview in advance by preregistering on the show's website.
