The appointment of Jane Roberts to the newly created post of Projects Director at European Trade and Exhibition Services is further evidence of the Staines-based company's long-term growth strategy.

The appointment of Jane Roberts to the newly created post of Projects Director at European Trade and Exhibition Services (ETES), organiser of several established regional manufacturing exhibitions including East Midlands Manufacturing and Southern Manufacturing, is further evidence of the Staines-based company's long-term growth strategy.

Roberts' experience, gained from many years in the exhibition business, including 15 years' involvement with the MACH series of machine tool exhibitions, will prove invaluable to ETES as it seeks to further develop its already successful series of six regional manufacturing exhibitions.

Commenting on this new appointment ETES' Managing Director, Phil Valentine, says: "Jane joins the company at a very exciting time".

"Her extensive market knowledge and skills will add considerably to our existing expertise, and her role will be key to our next stage of development".

"As we move forward, Jane's considerable knowledge of the machine tool industry, coupled with her experience in organising major exhibitions, will be put to good use as we extend our cost-effective exhibiting alternative to encompass suppliers of larger capital equipment".

In response, Roberts says: "Over the past decade it has become indisputable that national exhibitions are becoming less capable of attracting a national audience".

"Support for exhibitions continues to switch to regional, cost-effective events such as Welsh and South West Manufacturing and Northern Manufacturing, which ETES has been delivering successfully for more than ten years".

"I am very excited and keen to encourage the sector that I have served over the years to become fully involved with these regional events".
