Emergency release variations for safety switches
Three new emergency release variations have been added to the TZ range of safety switches in the Euchner range, designed for machine tool guarding and other safety critical industrial applications.
Category 1 switches get 4 contacts for 2 channels
Selected items in the NZ range of category 1 safety switches from Euchner can now be supplied with 4 contact switch blocks to facilitate 2 channel switching.
Because safety guards can be partially disabled, anyone equipped with an enabling switch within a controlled area must be able to recognise dangerous conditions so that appropriate counter measures can be initiated in good time.
All Euchner enabling switches meet the requirements of two and three stage operation in accordance with EN775 and VDI 2854 standards.
They all have robust plastic housings offering a high degree of protection, and also incorporate a patented mechanism to prevent activation of the enabling mechanism in three stage operation when the switch returns through stages three to one.
A built-in version for panel or bulkhead mounting, together with two variations of hand held enabling switches can be supplied, all available with a range of switching element configurations.
The built-in type ZSE switch provides IP65 protection at the front after mounting.
The hand held switches are both fully enclosed with IP67 protection on some models.
They are light in weight with ideal ergonomic design for left or right hand operation.
They are tamper resistant with a light and stable action point and also feature redundant make circuits and reliable line monitoring.
The type ZSA is available as three-stage single or dual channel versions with optional two or three-stage kit versions also available.
Magnetic or screw fix support brackets can also be supplied.
The type ZSR incorporate built-in hanging brackets and are also available in single or dual channel three-stage functions.
Three different cable types are available for each hand held switch including 5 or 10M straight cables, with a 5M coiled option.
These patented cables have individually shielded conductors to permit effective monitoring for cross or short circuits which can occur as a result of crushing etc.
This eliminates the need for an additional evaluation device.
