Three new emergency release variations have been added to the TZ range of safety switches in the Euchner range, designed for machine tool guarding and other safety critical industrial applications.

Three new emergency release variations have been added to the TZ range of safety switches in the Euchner range, designed for machine tool guarding and other safety critical industrial applications.

In all cases a manually operated emergency release pushbutton is incorporated which facilitates immediate opening of a safety guard, entirely independent of any external device or the operating condition of the switch locking mechanism.

Operating the emergency pushbutton also opens a positively driven N/C contact of the monitoring element and additionally blocks the locking mechanism until an appropriate release procedure is carried out.

All the switches can be equipped for actuator operation from either right or left hand sides.

Two versions feature the emergency button located on the front side, with the remaining switch featuring a rear side location.

Either two or four contact switching elements are available with connection via cable entry PG 13.5 or plug connectors SR11, RC18 or -C1825.

These TZ safety switches have anodised die-cast light alloy enclosures with IP67 sealing and are mechanically locked with the actuator inserted.

LED signal lamps are incorporated indicating GREEN - safety circuit closed and RED - key unlocked, safety circuit open.

They are designed for an actuator approach speed of 20m/min maximum, with an actuator force of 35N and a locking force of 1000N.

They are fitted with silver alloy, gold flashed contacts and a service life of 2 x 106 switching cycles is anticipated.
