Selected items in the NZ range of category 1 safety switches from Euchner can now be supplied with 4 contact switch blocks to facilitate two-channel switching.

Selected items in the NZ range of safety switches from Euchner can now be supplied with 4 contact switch blocks to facilitate 2 channel switching.

These are category 1 switches with the element and actuator forming one constructional and functional unit.

They are designed for incorporation into guarding and travel limiting equipment for the protection of personnel, machines and production goods.

They feature positive interaction of all actuating mechanisms in their functional sequence which guarantees positive disconnection of the safety switching element even in the event of contact welding.

The switches available include two roller-lever options which can be supplied with PG 13.5 cable entry or SR11 plug connector providing IP67 or IP65 protection respectively.

They can be fitted with plastic or steel rollers to accommodate actuator approach speeds of either 300 or 60 m/min maximum.

For maximum versatility, all heads can be rotated both horizontally and vertically in 90ø steps on the body, and the switching direction can be set for operation from either the right or left hand sides or from both directions.

A plunger operated switch can be fitted with four different actuator heads being dome, two roller variations and one long roller plunger variation.

These can be used at actuator approach speeds from 10 to 80 m/min.

In addition all heads can be rotated horizontally through 90ø steps on the switch body.

These safety switches can also be equipped with LED function display indicators, suitable for operation at 230 or 110 Vac or 12 - 60V ac/dc supplies.

All units are fitted with slow-action switches and can be provided with optional contact arrangements of either three positively driven NC and one N/O contact, or two positively driven NC and two N/O contacts.

These switches complement a wide range of safety switches that can be supplied, including versions for Zone 2 operation.
