ESM safety relays can serve fields of application up to category 4, EN954-1.

ESM safety relays can serve fields of application up to category 4, EN954-1.

Safety relays play an increasingly important role where machinery or moving parts are involved, and the new ESM range can be relied on to dependably break electrical control circuits and therefore switch off any potentially hazardous machine functions.

This is possible due to the continuous monitoring of all connected switchgear.

This includes mechanical safety switches with or without a guard-locking device, noncontact safety switches, two-hand controls, contact mats and other emergency stop switchgear.

The ESM switching system also ensures that machines are switched off and cannot be re-started in the event of internal machine defects.

The basic construction of the ESM safety relay ensures that the function and integration of the units is straightforward.

The relay housing is extremely compact with a body width of just 22.5mm and is suitable for DIN rail mounting.

With the easily linked modules there is the potential to install most combinations of time-delay (continuously adjustable up to 30s) and non-time-delay safety contacts.

Euchner offers several combination and expansion options so that just a few different safety relays and modules will suit the majority of applications, allowing customers to keep stock costs to an absolute minimum.

The uniform design also ensures that modules are particularly suited to control cabinet installations which require compact configurations.

The ESM range also complies with stop category 0 or 1, EN60204-1 with respect to interruption of the energy source.

One and two channel versions are available from Euchner and a variety of voltage ranges can also be supplied.
