Euchner switches have always been suitable for use in rigorous production environments, but with ATEX compliance the switches are now made even more flexible.

Euchner (UK) has introduced a new range of safety switches suitable for ATEX applications A wide range of Euchner switches have always been suitable for use in rigorous production environments, but with ATEX compliance the switches are now made even more flexible

Designed to be the counterpart of the standard Euchner range of safety switches, the ATEX range shares many common tried and tested components, including actuation heads and actuators.

They also have the same mounting hole drill patterns as the standard models.

Versatility can be achieved by using the TZ or TP switches (with guard locking) or the GP or NZ (without guard locking), depending on installation requirements.

Significantly, the CES noncontact safety switches with uniquely coded actuators are also available with ATEX approvals.

Flexibility is essential for all users of safety switches, something of which Euchner is very aware, and the option of three possible cable entry positions ensures that switch location is made extremely easy.

The Euchner ATEX product range can also be supplied with various combinations of contacts, and dual-channel wiring is also possible in all variants that feature four contact elements, helping to ensure maximum operator safety.

Approvals for three ATEX Zones are available, Zones 0/20, 1/22 and 2/22 for gas and dust.
