A conference on Machine Vision in European Manufacturing will be held on 13th and 14th September 2007 in Cambridge, UK With even the slightest deviation in product quality costing manufacturers hundreds of thousands of euros, the need for efficient, effective automated vision solutions is now a necessity rather than just being desirable

But where do manufacturers start when they want to find out about vision? And how can existing users be sure that their technology is up to date? A new conference, entitled Machine Vision in European Manufacturing will provide answers to these and many more questions.

Taking place at the historic St John's College in Cambridge, UK, the 1.5-day conference, organised by Europa Science, will feature speakers from blue-chip organisations, all of whom will inform delegates how they have implemented vision systems - and how machine vision has helped them save hundreds of thousands of euros, improved efficiency and increased quality of products.

Delegates will gain invaluable information on the whole process of implementing a vision system, from creating the original brief, to finding an integrator, through the installation period to the operational phase.

Alongside the full programme of speakers, delegates will enjoy the beautiful surroundings of St John's College, including a conference dinner in the splendid Dining Hall, and a drinks reception on the banks of the River Cam - including a chance to go punting.

Conference Director Warren Clark, says: "For users and integrators involved in manufacturing applications, there has been no dedicated event at which they can learn from others that have faced the same issues in the past".

"Our planned programme will feature several case studies, enabling delegates to hear real-life experiences and learn how to save money and improve quality through the use of machine vision".

"There'll be plenty of opportunity for networking with speakers and delegates too - and all in the magnificent setting of St John's College".
