Eurotherm has redefined its entry-level data acquisition offering by introducing an advanced new graphic recorder Known as the 5100e Data Management System (DMS), the low cost data acquisition and display instrument delivers advanced I/O quality with built in communications facilities

Like other Eurotherm recorders, it employs constant measurement techniques, with dedicated circuitry for each channel.

The new instrument, which joins Eurotherm's highly successful 5000 Series, incorporates Ethernet communications facilities as standard, allowing it to function remotely or within a networked environment.

The communications function provides an FTP server and client for data archiving over the Internet.

When used with the company's latest Bridge 5000 software package, real time process data may be viewed remotely on a PC or workstation.

The 5100e uses an STN touch sensitive screen.

This allows clear and simple user control, as well as high visibility display of current and historical process values in bar graph, digital or chart format.

Inputs may be in several user-specified forms, including dcV, dc mV, dc mA, TCs, RTD, or contact closure, with two settable alarms per channel.

Sample rate is 125ms as standard.

High noise rejection and isolation on all channels (250 volts ch/ch and ch/gnd), results in outstanding measurement integrity in the harshest of environments.

The allocation of one A/D converter per channel negates the need for relays or solid state switching, and provides continuous measurement and parallel sampling on each input.
