Grants assist overseas show business

UK SME engineering companies exhibiting at a variety of overseas exhibitions can apply for grant assistance.

The EIA has secured funding from UK Trade and Investment to help companies attend a number of global engineering events taking place during 2008-09 UK SME engineering companies exhibiting at shows in Europe will receive a GBP 1000 grant, and those participating elsewhere in the world are eligible for a GBP 1400 grant

Exhibitions covered by the grant scheme include: MTA Vietnam, the precision engineering, machine tools and metalworking technology exhibition from 3rd to 6th September 2008 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; the MSV International Engineering Fair/IMT International Machine Tool Show, from 15th to 19th September 2008 in Brno, Czech Republic; Metal, the 13th international fair of technologies for foundry from 24th to 26th September 2008 in Kielce, Poland; CIMES, the 9th international China machine tool exhibition from 9th to 13th October 2008 in Beijing, China; Manufacturing Technology Ireland on 5th and 6th November 2008 in Dublin, Ireland; Metalex, the international machine tools and metalworking technology show from 20th to 23rd November 2008 in Bangkok, Thailand; Manufacturing Indonesia from 3rd to 6th December 2008 in Jakarta, Indonesia; MEMEX, the Middle East manufacturing exhibition from 23rd to 25th November 2008 in Abu Dhabi; IMTEX, the international machine tool show from 22nd to 28th January 2009 in Bangalore, India; and MTA Singapore, the precision engineering, machine tools and metalworking technology exhibition from 25th to 28th March 2009 in Singapore.
