The first public beta of Solidthinking for Mac OS X version 10.2 (Jaguar) is now available for download.
solidThinking 7.5 is a suite of fully parametric and history driven Class A surface and solid modelling environments, with photorealistic rendering and animation, created for industrial designers, style centres, and demanding CG artists.
A wide array of advanced and intuitive curve, surface and solid tools for NURBS modelling are easily accessible to both Windows and Mac OS X users through a familiar interface.
It is Windows Vista and Mac OS Leopard ready, and has new plug-in integration of Next Limit's Maxwell Render available in all versions.
It also offers a redesigned and improved native renderer with Final Gather, HDR environment lighting, and hundreds of preset materials, lights and environments; Enhanced scene and construction history management with unlimited modelling layers, drag-and drop organisation, visual Construction Tree' and a refined user-interface for easier modelling, rendering, animation, dimensioning, and file interchange.
It has both new and improved file I/O modules for increased compatibility with external applications; and two new versions of solidThinking, solidThinking Modeler and solidThinking Modeler XL, providing advanced history based modelling at more affordable price.
Solids and surfaces are quickly and dynamically rebuilt as users manipulate source objects or parameters, eliminating repetitive manual reconstruction and streamlining revisions.
This fluidly interactive construction history incorporates everything from the point level up to entyire complex assemblies, and i accelerates creativity when modelling.
Interactive surface and curve analysis tools work in concert with this flexible system to provide instant visual feedback for maintaining the highest quality models.
