Everight Precision Technologies' Positek E111 linear position sensor can be used in areas with continuous, long or frequent periods of exposure to hazardous gas and dust.

Everight Precision Technologies has released the Positek E111 intrinsically safe, rugged linear position sensor for use in potentially explosive dust and gas/vapour atmospheres.

The E111 is one of the E series of Positek linear and rotary position sensors that are ATEX approved to Ex II 1GD EEx ia IIC T4 Ex iaD 20 T135C.

It suitable for all areas except mining and can be used in areas with continuous, long or frequent periods of exposure to hazardous gas and dust.

Operating temperature limits of the sensors are -40 to +80C.

With no wearing contacts, the E111 has a virtually infinite life, is highly linear and repeatable and maintains output stability over a wide temperature range.

It has a 12.7mm target rod, recommended for applications where vibration is an issue or where there is a need for longer travel sensors.

Body and target rod are stainless steel for long service life and corrosion resistance.

The E111 is built and calibrated for the user's measurement range from 50 to 600mm and is offered with a variety of mounting configurations and an optional shaft boot for protection against particle ingestion.

Positek E111 series sensors must be operated with Positek BX barriers that provide either a 0.5 - 9.5V DC or a 4-20mA analogue output that represents absolute position immediately on power up.
