Extech Instruments has a new, single-function, DC-only 400A clamp meter it reckons is easy to set up and operate and offers the best value in DC clamp meters available in the market today This low-maintenance single-function DC clamp meter is the latest addition to the broad Extech clamp meter family and is designed specifically for use in automotive, heavy equipment and related industries operating on direct current

The DC400 focuses only on measuring DC up to 400A with a 3.5% basic accuracy and high resolution to 0.01A.

Features include overload protection, auto power off to save battery life, and one touch "auto zero" to compensate for zero offset.

A custom fit rubber holster protects the meter and gives it extra durability as well as providing a better grip.

It offers a safety rating of CAT II-600V with CE approval mark.

The jaw extends to 1.2in accommodating large diameter conductors.

Its compact size adds convenience for making measurements in tight locations (size is 208 x 43 x 30mm and weight is 289g).

The meter comes complete with protective rubber holster, wrist strap, belt holster pouch, and 9V battery at an affordable price of $99.
