Motors with special shafts, nonstandard mounting or cooling requirements and integrated brake assemblies are now available virtually off the shelf thanks to extended stocks and a modular build facility.

This is complemented by free specialist advice on design and specification requirements.

Exico's General Manager, Jerry Hodek comments: "There is no reason why a customer who requires a variation on the standard AC motor should have to wait weeks for a manufacturer to work the order into the production schedule.

Exico are one of the few Siemens approved motor modifiers worldwide and currently supply the bulk of Siemens motor specials in the UK, keeping both motors and accessories in stock.

Our available stock and experience with motor specials has meant that existing demand has pushed us to develop and formalise our new special requirement motor service".

Exico can supply motors with odd shaft arrangements, pole configurations, non-standard fans with higher power or increased protection and a variety of mounting options off the shelf.

More bespoke mounting arrangements can also be designed and supplied on very short lead times.

Exico expect the motors to be used equally as replacements in specialised items of machinery, to solve design problems or specific operating environment demands in new OEM designs, for restoration projects and in new test bed applications.

Exico offer a range of base motor units from leading brand manufacturers such as Siemens, to its own high quality cost competitive M-Series units.

The Exico Special Requirement Motor Service is available direct from Exico and via many local stockists and suppliers.

The new service also complements Exico's range of AC drives, fans and other power transmission products such as inline and worm gearboxes.
