Extreme Optimisation users can now develop applications that will run at top speed on both 32 and 64bit platforms without modification.

Extreme Optimisation has released version 2.2 of the Extreme Optimisation Numerical Libraries for .NET, bringing native 64bit computing to the .NET platform for the first time.

The Extreme Optimisation Numerical Libraries for .NET include classes for curve fitting, solving equations, function optimisation in one or more dimensions, linear programming, numerical integration and differentiation, real and complex vectors, sparse matrices, probability distributions, random number generation, hypothesis tests, and statistical models, including multiple linear regression and analysis of variance (ANOVA).

"Managed code just can't beat the performance of optimised native code for Fast Fourier Transforms or operations on large matrices" said Jeffrey Sax, Architect of the library.

"Our users can now develop applications that will run at top speed on both 32 and 64bit platforms without modification".

The new version also includes support for constrained curve fitting, several new probability distributions, and many smaller improvements.
