Esab is to make its first appearance at this year's Seawork exhibition at the Canary Islands Fruit Terminal within the ABP Port of Southampton from 17th to 19th June.

The products on show will reflect the company's considerable experience of the shipbuilding, marine maintenance and offshore construction industries.

On the hardware side, MIG/MAG, TIG and MMA welding power sources, wire feeds and submerged arc technology from ESAB and Murex are widely used throughout the sector.

Likewise, ESAB Group companies have led consumables development.

Wire and electrodes are available for joining a wide range of materials including mild, alloyed and stainless steels and aluminium, as well as exotic materials.

A headline product at Seawork is the new ESAB Coreshield 8 self-shielding (no gas needed) flux cored wire.

Developed for general fabrication duties the wire combines good radiographic quality and all position weldability with easy slag release.

In parallel, a range of high quality personal protection equipment is offered; the Eye-Tech range of auto-darkening welding helmets is among of the most effective glare and radiation protection systems of its type.

All are compatible with an addon breathable air filtration unit to maximise operator comfort.
