Welding power source suits outdoor use
The Caddy Arc 251i provides an adjustable hot start to help avoid starting problems, adjustable arc force for improved weld quality and electrode type selection to suit weld material.
Both units operate off 230V mains supply but incorporate mains voltage compensation for stability in use.
They have an impact resistant plastic casing that is compliant with IP23, meaning the units can be used safely outdoors, even in the rain.
Further protection is afforded by the 'bumper bar' carrying handle that surrounds the main unit.
The easy-to-use control panel holds two sets of TiG parameters and two sets of MMA parameters, whilst switching between TiG parameters can be done from the torch as the units incorporate a remote outlet.
For TIG welding either HF or LiftArcÔ ignition are available together with up to 10 seconds adjustable pre and post gas flow and slope up and down to optimise weld quality.
Manual or programmable pulse welding assists welding of thin materials.
Both units offer up to 150A for MMA applications with automatic hot start and ArcPlusÔ to assist starting.
An arc force capability helps to optimise arc condition and it is also possible to set drop welding characteristics when using cellulose electrodes said Esab. Request a free brochure from ESAB ...
