An ESAB product story

Some of the UK's leading manufacturers of commercial vehicles and trailers are benefiting from the welding machines, welding wires and associated products available from the Esab Group.

A combination of Esab MIG welding machines, flux-cored wire, Murex Saffire gas welding equipment and specialised TIG welding products can cover virtually every welding requirement encountered during the manufacturing and assembly process.

A large proportion of MIG welding can be carried out with either Esab OK Tubrod 14.13 metal-cored wire or Murex Corofi R56XL, an all-positional, rutile, flux-cored wire.

For aluminium welding, Murex Bostrand 286 wire is suitable, whereas Murex Bostrand 308 and 316 wires are ideal for stainless steel.

In addition to welding equipment, oxy-fuel cutting stations equipped with Murex Saffire torches are proving suitable for most required cutting applications.

As a complement, Murex Multiweld auto-darkening welding helmets with fresh air feed units provide the desired protection for welders.

Some manufacturers have standardised on Esab Group for more than 25 years with the intention of achieving total consistency in the welding and cutting operations as well as the highest quality finished product.

As a spokesperson for a leading commercial vehicle manufacturer commented: "We have total confidence in the quality of Esab products".

"Furthermore, the backup service is always delivered by experts in a highly professional manner and the response has always been very quick and efficient".

"Welding is crucial to the success of our business, so it is essential that we have a reliable supplier of high-quality products".
