Welding power source suits outdoor use
The Caddy Arc 251i provides an adjustable hot start to help avoid starting problems, adjustable arc force for improved weld quality and electrode type selection to suit weld material.
Power sources boost tube weld quality
Orbital welding can be carried out more productively and at lower cost by using new additions to the ESAB Aristo range.
In addition, the new units are lightweight (15kg), have improved corrosion resistance and feature a new, smoothly rounded exterior.
The Caddy Tig 2200i AC/DC produces high-quality welds on all types of weldable metal up to 5mm thick.
Excellent arc strike and a stable, consistent arc are achieved in both AC and DC modes.
In AC mode, the QWave function optimises the AC wave form to give a smooth arc and very low noise.
ESAB offers a choice of two control panels for the Caddy Tig 2200i AC/DC.
The TA33 panel makes AC Tig welding as easy as possible.
All the user has to do is set the plate thickness, and the machine takes care of all other parameters.
If users require controls for DC Tig, AC/DC Tig and MMA welding, the TA34 panel presents all of the necessary functions clearly and intuitively.
For example, when using the machine for DC pulsed Tig, the operator can easily control the rate of heat input to the weld pool; for MMA welding, the operator has control over hot start, arc force and polarity.
Another feature of the TA34 panel is the two-program function that enables the operator to pre-set two welding programs and switch between them during the welding operation.
Operating from a 230V single-phase supply, the Caddy Tig 2200i AC/DC has a setting range of 4-220A for Tig AC/DC welding, or 16-160A for MMA welding.
For applications calling for a higher duty cycle, an optional water cooler is available.
ESAB has developed a range of accessories for use with the Caddy Tig 2200i AC/DC, including trolleys, remote control units, remote interconnection cables up to 25m long, and various Tig torches. Request a free brochure from ESAB ...
