The Caddy Arc 251i provides an adjustable hot start to help avoid starting problems, adjustable arc force for improved weld quality and electrode type selection to suit weld material.

The Caddy Arc 251i portable welding power source from ESAB is a robust and durable welding tool designed for all-weather outdoor.

It is suitable for repairs, maintenance and fabrication work in shipbuilding, offshore, power generation and process industries.

Features include an adjustable hot start to help avoid starting problems, adjustable arc force for improved weld quality and electrode type selection to suit weld material.

The 10.5kg machine is easy to carry, with robust, impact-resistant polymer casings.

Large heat sinks and a clever design allow cool running to extend the system's working life.

Two control panels are available for the Caddy Arc 251i.

Both have digital displays and remote control functions.

They are easy to set, even when wearing gloves.

The Caddy A32 panel provides MMA or TIG welding with ESAB's LiveTig start, while the more advanced Caddy A34 panel also offers hot start and arc force control to fine tune welding, electrode type selection and two memory positions for storing settings.

In MMA mode the Caddy Arc 251i supplies direct current for welds of most metals, including alloy and nonalloy steel, stainless steel and cast iron.

Excellent welding performance is achieved using basic, rutile, cellulosic and high-recovery electrodes from 1.6 to 5mm in diameter.

The units are fitted with ESAB's ArcPlus II regulator, which provides an easily controlled and intense but smooth and stable arc.

It generates smaller droplets with less spatter and the arc burns smoothly, so there is no need to pause at the end edges when weaving.
