The new Fagor NV300/301G digital readout is designed specifically for grinders.

Fagor has developed a high precision DRO especially created for the display and control of surface grinders Designed to increase productivity and maximise profitability, the new NV300/301G uses the most advanced components available on the market, including state-of-the-art generation microprocessors, and proprietary ASIC circuits for the optimum handling of the feedback signal

The DRO is ideal for enhancing the performance of machines with the following characteristics: * Manual or automatic wheel dressing on the wheel holder.

* Independent longitudinal movement.

* Motorised cross axis with feedback.

* Worm gearing on the vertical axis, moved by a servo drive and having encoder feedback.

* Open loop positioning.

Its programmable parameters include, cross travel limits, roughing and finishing depth, pre-setting the amount of excess material, and number of spark-out passes.

The Fagor NV300/301G can display the vertical and cross axes as well as the diamond position 'V' (if it has a feedback device) simultaneously.

The motor speed and position as well as the depth of the pass may be controlled from the PLC and the movements in manual mode or in automatic cycle can be defined as well as the rest of the devices.

The resolution is up to 0.1um (0.00002in), using 1Vpp feedback symbols (on the NV 301G model).

Other features include: * Three display modes, with information on the status of the machining cycles.

* Co-ordinate pre-set.

* Axis coupling.

* Position reading active while the DRO display is off.

* Speed and feedback alarm, data backup in EEPROM.
