Fan Technology has introduced to the UK a low cost version of the traditional 162x150x38mm axial fan.

These new fans are available at 60% of the price of competitive products with virtually no compromise in terms of performance.

The AC version uses an impedance protected shaded pole motor and is fitted with a rugged ball bearing system while the DC fans use a brushless DC motor and are available with either sleeve or ball bearings.

Low and high-speed versions are available in the DC version to cater for a wide range of performance requirements.

Available in 240V AC and 12 and 24V DC, the FT-108CX range provides airflow up to 210CFM and will be suitable for a wide range of applications including power supplies, welding machines, fan trays and 19in rack systems.

Fan Technology director, Robin Cook, is convinced that the FT-108CX range will be a winner commenting: "These fans will bring real cost savings while maintaining high standards of life and reliability.

This is important in today's competitive marketplace and we are convinced that they will prove to be very popular to manufacturers of a wide range of equipment.".
