Farnell's road show vehicle is motoring, touring the UK and mainland Europe, visiting major customers, until mid December Farnell, the eCommerce-enabled distributor of electronic and industrial products, has this year added a demonstration room to its 16 metre long, 25 tonne 'Super Truck' to provide guests with the opportunity to view demonstrations of its eCommerce capabilities, the result of substantial investment over the last three years

Pettman continues: "The majority of the visits have traditionally been to major blue chip customers but, beginning in October, there is a dedicated five week tour of many of the UK's major universities, giving us a great chance to meet the engineers of tomorrow.
" Rob Knight, Group eCommerce Manager, Farnell, adds: "There has been a major cultural shift within our customer base to adopt eCommerce and we have endeavoured to make sure that demand is met.
Now we need to let people know that capability is there.
The Farnell eCommerce programme forms part of a deliberate, customer-focused policy that is now driving Farnell's business model.
This exciting initiative supports and strengthens our global distribution capability, which is growing as a result of strategic investments in talent and information technology." Now in its seventh year, the 'Farnell Road Show' will have travelled 40,000 miles and entertained over 20,000 visitors by December.
