The new office is fully staffed, including call centre managers and field sales representatives, bringing access to over 3000 suppliers and millions of products for Italian customers.
Farnell has an established Italian customer base and is already trading with 3000 businesses throughout Italy from its headquarters in Leeds, UK.
Sales are expected to increase significantly in 2003 as a result of the new local presence in Milan.
Italian customers will continue to benefit from Farnell's unique combination of tailored services, and the biggest range of electronic and MRO products, as well as its market-leading e-commerce and e-procurement solutions.
