Handheld unit gets a measure of coating
thickness

A new handheld coating thickness instrument, the PMP10, uses phase measurements to get better results.

A new hand-held coating thickness instrument, the PMP10, uses phase measurements to get better results An important application is zinc on steel, especially on small parts like screws and other fixings where simple electromagnetic instruments are prone to very large errors due to the small area and curved surfaces

Copper, aluminium and brass on plastic materials can also be measured.

Another advantage is that the probe does not need to touch the coating.

This helps with very rough coatings and means that a zinc coating can be checked under a paint or lacquer top coat.

Dual probes can be used to measure both the paint and zinc coat in one operation. Request a free brochure from Fischer Instrumentation (GB) ...
