FCx Asia Pacific is pleased to announce the acquisition of the assets of Taylors Limited New Zealand - the transaction was completed on 31 August 2000.

Taylors Limited is a flow control distribution company with distribution centres in Christchurch, Auckland and Dunedin.

Importantly, Taylors has a number of leading international brand agencies in its product portfolio with the main business segments being pulp and paper, waste water treatment and HVAC.

Taylors is known in the marketplace for its ability to provide flow control solutions, and in recent times, has expanded its product base to become a significant single source flow control distributor.

Taylors has 44 staff members, and is a tightly managed business with a record of profitable growth over the years - the return on sales for 1999/00 was 10%.

Tony Taylor, the current Managing Director has led the operation for 31 years, and will remain in that role until the end of the year when he will retire.

Taylors and Pegler Beacon New Zealand will become divisions of the new company, FCx New Zealand and will operate independently of each other to their served markets.

This acquisition is significant for FCx Asia Pacific as it continues our objective to take a leading position in flow control distribution in New Zealand and the Asia Pacific region.
