China order and PED certification for FCX

FCx Truflo Rona has received an order for around 100 valves for one of the first LNG terminals in China, and at the same time has gained certification by TUV for the Pressure Equipment Directive
FCx Truflo Rona - a leading member of the FCx Manufacturing division is pleased to announce a 'double first'.
FCx Truflo Rona over many years have developed a special market expertise for its range of ball, gate, globe and butterfly valves for 'liquified natural gas' applications.
The supply and support of their products into existing 'LNG' installations in Europe, USA, Korea and Japan have developed into a key skill.
High integrity products designed and manufactured at their factory in Herstal, Belgium have been highly successful in this demanding market that operates down at -200C.
It is thus very pleasing to announce an order received for one of the first LNG terminals in China.
This order for around 100 valves is hopefully the first of many, as this huge market seems destined to use of more and more LNG.
FCx Truflo Rona's second first is the certification by TUV that its range of products now satisfies the European Commission Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) and as such they can certify their valves with the CE Mark.
FCx Truflo Rona are the first group company to win such an accreditation although the programme to comply across the rest of FCx group is also developing well.
From May 2002 all valves sold in Europe that fall under the PED will have to be CE marked.
FCx Truflo Rona is ahead of the game.
