FCx Truflo Rona capped a remarkably successful presence at the LNG 13 exhibition with the formal signing of a US$1.4 million contract with Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering.

Senior representatives from the recently privatised Korean shipyard organization attended a forma ceremony at the FCx stand to formally sign contracts for the supply of cryogenic ball and dual plate check valves that will be used on the cargo containment systems of a number of new LNG transportation vessels.

The LNG 13 conference and exhibition was held at the stunning COEX convention centre in the South Korean capital Seoul.

It was the thirteenth in a series of triennial events focused on liquefied natural gas and this year attracted a record 1,800 delegates for conference and workshop sessions.

The signing of the contract was the climax to an exceptional week at the exhibition for FCx companies and representatives.

An impressive stand attracted many high calibre visitors from both major front end-user and contracting industries.

FCx Truflo Rona focused on its range of cryogenic ball, gate, globe, check and butterfly process valves with great success, re-emphasising its position as a market leader in the supply of flow control products to the LNG and LPG terminals and ships and petrochemical and chemical plants.

while Fellow FCx exhibitor FCx Thompson Valves was also inundated with enquiries about its range of Maxseal solenoid valves and pressure regulators.

FCx Truflo Rona Sales and Marketing Director Trevor Fairhurst explained: "The current and forecast demand for new-build LNG carrying ships is unprecedented in the history of the industry and DSME's decision to select the Truflo cryogenic ball valves maintains our 100% success record in this sector of the Korean shipbuilding industry.
