FCX International has unveiled a new portal web site providing a simple doorway to contacts, services and products in all of its global network
FCX International - one of the world's leading specialist distributors of flow control products - has unveiled a new portal web site providing a simple doorway to contacts, services and products in all of its global network.
FCX International companies are spread across three continents and 13 countries and 80 locations, so it was vital that the new site - www.fc-x.com - provided simple access to the multilingual sites and direct contact to key people and services.
The group - listed on the London Stock Market - is a specialist distributor of flow control products, providing technical solutions and added value services via global network of distribution centres.
It employs more than 1,100 people and offers more than 40,000 line items.
As well as distribution of brand leading valves, actuators, instruments and controls, the group also manufactures specialist products and provides technical assistance, solutions and on-going support to its customers.
Specialist teams to handle complex project orders are also available to customers.
Simplicity and usability were the keys to its new site.
Users can navigate very quickly between sections covering investor relations, company news, locations, group companies, products and services, careers and contacts.
A frequently updated news section focuses on company news about products and projects in a huge variety of industrial sectors where process engineering is key, such as oil and gas, chemical and petrochemical, marine, nuclear and aerospace engineering.
This section offers users the opportunity to join the FCX International news e-mail service to receive full colour articles direct to their desktop the moment they're published.
The easily accessible company sites provide more detail on the products and services of each of the 18 companies which make-up the group.
For example the FCx Thompson Valves site allows the downloading of on-line technical brochures, such as the newly launched Maxseal Solenoid valves brochure.
