Middle East users to meet in Bahrain
The Fieldbus Foundation End User Council Middle East will hold its inaugural End User Council meeting, "Multaqa 2004", from 13th to 15th September 2004, at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Manama, Bahrain.

A class will be offered for those with a limited knowledge of Foundation technology.
Topics include: "Understanding Foundation fieldbus technology"; "Foundation fieldbus technical installation requirements"; "Foundation fieldbus operational aspects"; and Foundation fieldbus hands-on demonstrations.
The US $550 registration fee includes handout materials, refreshments and lunch.
(Please note this fee applies to the training session only).
Registration is limited to 40, and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

The end user council meeting will be held 14th and 15th September.

Expected end user presentation topics include: "Fieldbus standards and specifications"; "Experiences on recent FF projects"; "CapEx and OpEx savings from FF"; "Commissioning experiences and lessons learned"; "New maintenance procedures required by FF"; "FF training experiences and lessons learned"; and "Interoperability issues, fixes, and lessons learned".
Presenters interested in participating in the FFEUC-ME meeting are invited to submit presentation summaries no later than 14th July 2004, for consideration.
All presentations will be reviewed prior to approval.
In addition to end user presentations, participants will view tabletop exhibits showcasing vendors' Foundation fieldbus products and services.
An evening social on 14th September will offer refreshments and hors d'oeuvres.
