After successfully installing a Magnom clear process unit to filter cutting fluid in a Mori Seiki 75 CNC lathe, Refimex Machinery has decided to install Magnoms into all its lathes, including Mori Seiki 65s.

Magnom's Finnish distributor suggested the use of the Magnom because the lathes slideways were wearing from ferrous contaminant in the cutting fluid.

The Magnom is the only way to economically remove this contaminant.

The rate of wear would have driven a need to recondition the slideways within 3 years, at that time the lathe would be out of work for two weeks and the repair alone would cost Eur 17,000.

To avoid this, the company will install Magnoms to every lathe in its factory.
